On the palate, the exceptional aromatic power of this cognac opens with an association of hazelnut, walnut, cedar wood and then candied fruit. A great length characterizes this XO. Since its founding in 1765, Hennessy has been guided by a passion to craft the world’s finest Cognacs - our drive to Never Stop. Never Settle. Hennessy Cognac is crafted with a strict set of standards defined by the Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde and handed down from generation to generation.

However, when it comes to enjoying Cognac, we haven’t followed any rules since 1765. In perpetuating the legacy of the original V.S.O.P – specially conceived by Hennessy in 1817 for the English Prince Regent, who would become George IV – the objective of the Hennessy master blenders has always been to create a complete and harmonious blend: the definitive expression of a perfectly balanced cognac. The mellow texture of its oldest eaux-de-vie perfectly complements the vitality of the youngest, which makes it ideal for any occasion, whether enjoyed on the rocks, as a long drink or in a more creative mix.

Rémy Martin VSOP embodies the perfect harmony of powerful and elegant aromas. It is the symbol of the Cellar Master’s art of blending.

Eye: Golden red amber.

Nose: Base notes of vanilla due to the maturation process in French Limousin oak casks. Notes of ripe apricot, baked apple and a elegant floral aroma.

Palate: Harmonious marriage between firmness of ripe fruits, subtle notes of licorice, and a great complexity of powerful, elegant aromas. The body is wonderfully structured, with multiple layers. Body has the roundness of ripe fruit with a silky texture.

Distilling & Tasting Notes The indigenous grape varieties of Meksassi, Hifawi and Vaitamouni are the essence of this grape-based Eau de Vie. Fulfilling the 3,000-year-old tradition of distilling, this refined drink reflects the aromas and flavors of the impressive Jezzignac terroir. Triple-distillation using fresh Jezzine Spring Water coupled with ageing in oak barrels gives this drink its purity, aromas and diverse tastes. The maturity process does not stop in oak barrels but continues into glass jars for the required period mentioned on the bottle. On the nose, it displays the aromas of smoked wood, dried almonds and walnuts with a hint of marmalade and vanilla. The silky sensation upon tasting is derived from the long ageing process.
