This signature summer drink was created in 1954 by the acclaimed bartender Ramón “Monchito” Marrero from a fruity fusion of rum, pineapple juice and coconut cream. During his 30 years of residence at the Caribe Hilton he served the Piña Colada with his original recipe making it one of the most popular summer cocktails in history.
